Cookie Policy

Last Updated: June 20, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how gotosignal.com uses cookies and similar technologies.

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy. By using our website you agree to the use of cookies as described here, except where your consent is required by law, in which case we will ask for it.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and software development kits (SDKs). They help a site function, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used.

Cookies We Use on gotosignal.com

On the gotosignal.com application and marketing pages, we use the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary: required to operate the site, sign you in, keep your session secure, and remember essential preferences (for example, your selected language). This includes Firebase Authentication session data and security tokens used by Firebase App Check and Google reCAPTCHA to protect against abuse.
  • Functional / local storage: we use browser storage (such as localStorage and session storage) to save in-progress work, draft data, and interface preferences so the application behaves as expected.
  • Performance and diagnostics: we use Firebase Performance Monitoring and error diagnostics to measure reliability and fix problems. See "First-Party Analytics and Diagnostics" in our Privacy Policy.
  • Third-party fonts: pages may load web fonts from Google Fonts, which can involve a request to Google's servers.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell information collected through cookies on gotosignal.com.

Cookies on Deployed Business Profiles

Business profiles created by our users are separate from the gotosignal.com application. Cookies and tracking technologies on a deployed profile depend on what that profile's owner has chosen to add:

  • Owner-added analytics and tracking codes: profile owners may add third-party analytics or tracking snippets from a restricted allow-list of recognized providers. These set their own cookies and are governed by the policies of the respective providers and the profile owner, not gotosignal.com.
  • Consent banner: when a profile includes tracking code, we automatically display a cookie-consent banner to visitors. Tracking scripts are intended to load only after the visitor accepts. The visitor's choice is stored in the browser (using local storage) so the banner is not shown repeatedly.
  • Embedded third-party content: profiles may embed third-party content (such as videos, maps, forms, or booking widgets) via iframes. These third parties may set their own cookies when their content loads.

If you are a profile owner, you are responsible for ensuring your use of tracking codes and embeds complies with applicable cookie and privacy laws, including obtaining any required consent. See our Acceptable Use Policy.

Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block or be notified about cookies. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site (such as signing in) from working. You can also use privacy-focused browser extensions and provider opt-out tools, including:

  • Network Advertising Initiative: http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp
  • Digital Advertising Alliance: http://www.aboutads.info/choices/
  • Your browser's privacy and security settings
